2005 View-Master International
Stereo Sequence Competition
Hey you! Put down that View-Master camera for a moment and listen up! 2005 is our tenth View-Master Competition. SCSC has been holding the only PSA approved World Wide View-Master Competition since 1996 and we are looking forward to you entering your View-Master reels on this special anniversary. The V-M Sequence Competition is very unique, there is a strict number of images that is submitted per subject. Seven is the total that the artist has to work with, no more, no less. The reel must include seven different captions as you would find with an authentic View-Master reel. Last year we opened the competition up with no restrictions on original format as long as the images were presented on a View-Master type reel. As always, individuals could enter up to four different reels. Each year that I have been attending this competition, the quality of the reels has gotten better and better. Many of last year’s entries were View-Master quality reels. In 2004 the judges looked at 91 projected images sent from as far east as Rochester, New York, to as north as Olympia, Washington. This year is a special anniversary and as a gift to me, I want to see V-M reels submitted from all over the world. I know they’re out there, over the past ten years I have seen reels submitted from Japan, India and even Bermuda! So pick that camera back up, get shoot’n and get punch’n on those images, the selection starts June 16! This is your 2005 Chairman Christopher Olson, telling you to start “Reeling” in those pictures for this years Tenth Edition of the View-Master Sequence Competition … It is the “Reel” thing!
